Analysis
Comparative analysis of the CEE region’s household electricity prices offered within the universal supply serviceUploaded: 1 of June, 2010

The aim of the study is to provide a comparison of the Hungarian universal supplier household tariff and its structure to that of the neighboring countries in order to determine wether the Hungarian end user tariff and its components outlie or rather fit to the regional tendencies. Therefore we compare seven countries’ household tariffs: Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.

The research has two phases, firstly we compare the countries’ universal supply regulation, and based on a tariff package we defined compare the household tariffs and their components. In the second phase we complement the quantitative comparison with country studies that describe the underlying regulations and market structure, this way providing a more complex picture than the raw numerical comparison.
