Danube Region RES-E Monitoring ProjectUploaded: 1 of December, 2013

In this project REKK surveyed 14 Danube Region (DR) countries (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Montenergo, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine) concerning their renewable electricity (RES-E) regulation and practices covering the fields of renewable market design, licensing and certification, grid integration, renewable target setting, support scheme design, annual support budget and cross border cooperation mechanisms. Based on the 14 country survey and additional data collected from the DR region a quantitative analysis was also carried out assessing the effectiveness of the various RES-E policies in the DR countries, the barriers preventing the achievement of further RES-E penetration and the impacts of the monetary incentives on the national RES-E support budgets. The project outputs also include an individual report on the potential and actual use of EU Flexibility Mechanisms within the DR region.
