REKK was involved in Energiaklub's project "Wind energy for Hungary!", where we analysed the possible effects of new wind capacities in Hungary on the electricity sector. We used our European Power Market Model (EPMM) to quantify the effects of maximum 3 GW new domestic wind capacities on the Hungarian and the European electricity mix, CO2 emission, power prices and the reserve market.
The results were presented on the conference "Wind rises - wind energy utilisation possibilities in Hungary", and summarised in a short policy brief (see below).
