The project investigated the feasibility of constructing an on-site photovoltaic power plant at the premises of a Hungarian company. It presented the current trends in the electricity market, the main elements of renewable energy regulation and the characteristics of the domestic solar market. It reviewed the past evolution of electricity prices and provided an estimate of their likely future levels. Based on 3 possible price evolution scenarios and a higher and a lower PV system cost, it assessed the expected financial performance of the investment for the different implementation options (direct investment, renting and PPA).
