Katalin Varga joined REKK in February 2020 and works as program director to the REKK Foundation which provides a platform for open-ended, European-wide dialogue between different stakeholders of the energy sector. Katalin Varga is responsible for organising national and regional expert forums and various knowledge sharing activities of the foundation. She also participates in research projects in the fields of renewable energy policy.
Katalin Varga graduated in 2005 at the Corvinus University of Budapest as an economist, majoring in environmental management. She gained her postgradual degree as energy economist at the Corvinus University in 2011. Katalin Varga dealt with sustainable energy policy issues as renewable energy project manager at Energiaklub Association between 2006 and 2015, and worked as renewable energy expert at the Hungarian energy regulator MEKH between 2015 and 2020.
