The online press briefing will discuss how the European natural gas supply and demand might look like in the future, and how this shift from Russian pipeline gas to other sources will affect the cost of gas procurement, the main flows in the region, and the internal energy market of the EU.
While the winter of 2022/23 seems already manageable for Europe, without further measures to replace Russian gas the next winter can also be critical. REKK’s modeling is expected to contribute to preventing shocks by identifying feasible strategies and useful regulatory measures on the European market with the main focus on EU27.
