The project investigated the possible role of energy sufficiency policies in reaching national climate goals in Hungary and Lithuania. Drawing on estimated sufficiency potentials in literature and historic consumption trends, it proposes sufficient levels for core indicators in the passenger transport and residential building sectors and presents examples of related policy measures that have been successfully introduced in other countries. It also provides some insight into the possible energy savings for a selected set of indicators based on modelling results.
