As a follow-up of our past cooperation REKK supported the regulatory authority of Moldova with the implementation of the new natural gas transmission tariff calculation methodology, that is in line with the Tariff Network Code (TAR NC). It applies capacity-based entry/exit tariffs, established on the basis of reference prices. One of the crucial elements of the new methodology is the possible application of an inter-TSO compensation mechanism, as the natural gas transmission system of the Republic of Moldova currently consists of two transmission networks, owned by two distinct transmission system operators.
