We provided a three-day training course to 40 experts of the Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company in Muscat, Oman. The course covered a wide spectrum of regulatory topics, including the basics of water economics, the principles of economic regulation, cost drivers, incentives for performance improvement, financing new investments and water demand management. Lectures were supplemented by group exercises, serious games and detailed case studies drawing on examples from Hungary, Poland and Tunisia.
