ERRA organized a tailor made on-site course for thai regulators and businessmen in Budapest. Out of the three day program REKK was responsible for the "Gas day". We discussed the market structure and regulatory issues in a broader sense than highlighted three main issues: the energy crisis and regulatory responses on EU level; the regulatory toolset applied at national level and discussed case studeis and best practices; windall profit taxation in the energy crisis.
The prime purpose of the program is to bring members of the visiting delegation up-to-speed with latest developments on energy and regulatory policy, enhancing their understanding of the industries they regulate and ultimately improve their performance as regulatory policymakers. The course will constitute not only a comprehensive learning opportunity that will bring closer the EU perspective for Thai regulators but will also account for an excellent chance to meet and network with high-level counterparts from European markets.
The program will provide a structured learning opportunity among peers with ample time for discussions and Q&A. It shall also facilitate a long-standing mentoring opportunity. The practical sessions will allow for hands-on councelling through the consultative methodology applied.
The moderator and other program experts are experienced speakers of previous similar ERRA educational programs with noteworthy international and hands-on experiences in regulatory matters in the power and gas sectors. Some of them are current or former regulators.
