Call for application to journalists13 of June,

The mission of the REKK Foundation is to provide a platform for open-ended, European-wide dialogue between government and business actors, infrastructure operators, energy producers and traders, regulators and consumers, professional journalists and other interested private entities.

Recognising the importance of credible professional journalism in this process, the REKK Foundation is launching a call for applications for journalists.

The aim of the call for proposals is to support the professional training of journalists active in the field of energy economics for the academic year 2024/2025.

Training specialisation: Energy Market Economist/ Specialist

Type of training: accredited post-graduate, 60 credits, only journalists with a university degree are invited to apply

Duration of the training: September 2024 - June 2025, 2 semesters, 300 hours, once a week, on Fridays

Nature of the training: small-scale, practice-oriented, economically sound, up-to-date, complex knowledge and analytical and methodological skills for professionals in the fixed energy sector

Place of training: Corvinus University of Budapest

Language of the training: English

Tuition fees: HUF 756,000 per semester

The amount of funding available for this call for proposals: 100% (i.e. the journalist selected in the call for proposals does not need to provide any own contribution)

Conditions for the payment of the grant: successful completion of examinations, final examinations and tests by the end of the semester, successful defence of the thesis by the end of the 3rd semester following the start of the training at the latest. If this is not the case, the course fee has to be refunded.
