REKK has organised its first scholarship competition with the support of Paks Nuclear Power Plant. The competition was open for university students. The following topics were suggested for analysis:
- The future of renewables in Hungary and Europe
- Present situation and the future of market opening in Hungary
- Energy production and environment
- Benefits and harms of fuels
- The role of Paks Nuclear Power Plant in the Hungarian electricity system
21 papers were submitted for the competition. Reviewers shortlisted 15 papers for the second round of the competition.
Awards:
I. prize - András Mezősi: Is the optimum optimal? - support of renewable power generation companies
II. prize - Zsolt Havran and Olivér Krizsán: Common action for environmental protection
III. prize - Edmond Balogh: Hotwater in the power outlet
Special award - András Vastag: The role of Paks Nuclear Power Plant in the Hungarian electricity system
Special award - Bálint Végh: Green energy - opinions on the future of a new color in Hungary
