The objective of this collaborative effort is to assist the mid-term business planning procedure of GDF Suez Energia Holding Hungary Zrt by providing qualitative inputs for its scenario planning process, especially natural gas and electricity consumption. In this work we forecast the aggregate and sectorial gas demand for Hungary, and aggregate value for electricity consumption. For forecasting the gas and electricity consumption we mainly rely on statistical regression-based methods, which identify connections among the past and present gas/electricity consumption as well as a set of other factors.
