In our recent analysis, we estimated the sensitivity of consumption to price and income in the service area of the Tiszamenti Regional Waterworks Ltd. The results show that the demand for piped drinking water is price and income inelastic, but more elastic than, for example, electricity. These results are consistent with international experience.
